The Apothecary Sideboard brings substantial storage and timeless character to your home with solid reclaimed pine construction, a generous lower shelf, and two full-extension drawers finished with polished bronze cup pulls. A sideboard is a low cabinet designed for dining room or entryway storage, traditionally used for serving dishes, linens, and tableware -- this model spans 86 inches to offer exceptional capacity for media equipment, games, seasonal decor, or family essentials. The Apothecary Sideboard in black finish is available at Sideboards and Things with free shipping, pairing beautifully with other credenzas and sideboards in a variety of wood tones.
At more than seven feet wide, this sideboard works beautifully as a media console beneath a large television, with the lower shelf holding game consoles, DVD players, or woven baskets for remote controls and cables. The reclaimed pine construction brings organic warmth and durability, while the black finish grounds the piece in modern or industrial interiors. Place it in an entryway to corral shoes and bags on the bottom shelf, tuck gloves and keys into the drawers, and display a mirror or artwork above -- or position it in a dining room as a buffet cabinet for serving platters and table linens, with the open shelf ready for extra dishware or decorative baskets.
Handy for kitchen wine and glassware
We use the bottom shelf to store a modest wine collection and keep glassware within easy reach during dinners. The reclaimed pine surface and weathered grain give the kitchen a relaxed, farmhouse vibe. Drawers hide less attractive items so the top stays tidy.
Perfect height for a TV stand
At 36 inches high the top lines up nicely with a living room TV and creates a low, furniture-like profile. The reclaimed pine surface has a weathered texture that gives the room some warmth. It also arrived fully assembled so there was no setup fuss.
Useful in a home office
This piece arrived fully assembled and instantly became a large surface for a printer and supplies. The reclaimed pine top has a weathered texture that hides minor marks from daily use. It's great when you want solid storage without a lot of assembly.
Great buffet for dinner parties
We use the full-length open lower shelf for serving platters and extra dishes during family dinners. The reclaimed pine construction has natural grain variations that feel right at home in a farmhouse kitchen. It's solid and gives plenty of display space without looking bulky.
Good fit for a family media room
The drawers do a solid job of concealing media components and clutter, while the lower shelf holds game consoles and controllers. The reclaimed pine gives a lived-in farmhouse feel that works with casual seating. It feels robust and built to last.
