Why Choose Handwoven Cane Dining Chairs from Sideboards and Things?

Natural cane flexes without cracking and breathes through humid summer meals, making it more forgiving than rigid upholstery in high-use dining spaces. The armless profile tucks completely under table aprons, a practical advantage when floor space is tight or you're arranging extra seating for guests. Pair the set with a reclaimed-wood table from our dining tables collection or a glass top to let the cane texture stand out, and ground the look with pieces from our console tables range. Each chair weighs just 12 pounds, so rearranging them for a dinner party or moving one to a desk is effortless. The black toonwood frame anchors the design without visual bulk, and because every chair is handmade, small variations in the cane weave lend artisan character. Frequently Asked Questions

What is an armless dining chair, and why choose one?

An armless dining chair is a side chair without arms, designed to tuck fully under tables and maximize seating in compact spaces while remaining easy to move for flexible layouts.

How do I clean handwoven cane on dining chairs?

Wipe the cane with a damp cloth to remove spills and dust, then let it air-dry; avoid soaking or harsh cleaners that can weaken the natural fibers.

Does the Macie chair set require assembly?

No, both chairs arrive fully assembled and ready to use straight out of the box.

Do black wood dining chairs work with light-colored tables?

Yes, black frames create modern contrast with light or natural wood tables and ground the space with bold definition without overwhelming the palette.

What are the shipping and delivery terms?

Sideboards and Things offers free curbside delivery to the continental USA; white-glove placement, setup, and assembly are optional paid services available upon request.

How much does each chair weigh?

Each Macie side chair weighs 12 pounds, making them light enough to lift and rearrange with ease.
