Why Choose an Outdoor Coffee Table From Sideboards and Things?
The Torbay's 64-inch surface comfortably serves large sectionals and deep seating, while its substantial weight keeps it firmly planted through wind and weather. Pair it with all-weather wicker or natural teak pieces from our outdoor furniture collection to create a layered lounge that feels grounded and complete. The sealed concrete resists moisture intrusion and staining, and each piece carries unique variations -- subtle color shifts, texture, and non-structural hairline cracks -- that are inherent to handmade concrete and add to the character of the table over time.
Commercial-grade construction makes the Torbay suitable for high-traffic hospitality settings, hotel lobbies, and restaurant patios, as well as residential decks and poolside seating. Its faux travertine finish mimics the look of natural stone through a water-transfer technique, and the sealed topcoat guards against UV degradation when used under cover or treated with seasonal protection. Complement it with an outdoor console table in aluminum or HDPE to balance the raw weight of concrete with lighter metals and synthetic materials, or anchor a larger outdoor bar setup by pairing it with pieces from our outdoor bar and counter tables collection.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What materials work best for an outdoor coffee table that stays outside year-round?
- Concrete, teak, aluminum, and HDPE resist weather and UV exposure; concrete offers unmatched weight and sculptural presence without the need for constant sealing.
- Does the Torbay coffee table arrive fully assembled?
- Yes, assembly is not required; the table ships complete and ready to place on your patio with free curbside delivery.
- How do I clean and maintain a concrete outdoor table?
- Wipe the surface with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and reapply a concrete sealer annually to preserve the finish and protect against moisture.
- Can this table handle direct sun and heavy rain?
- The sealed topcoat and reinforced concrete resist UV degradation and moisture intrusion; applying a cover during extreme weather extends the finish life.
- What is glass-fibre-reinforced concrete and why does it matter?
- Glass fibres embedded in the concrete add tensile strength and crack resistance, making the table exceptionally durable and long-lasting for year-round outdoor use.
- Why does the table weigh 191 pounds?
- Solid concrete construction provides stability in wind and weather while delivering the sculptural presence of carved stone; the weight keeps the table planted without anchoring.
