Hand-applied Castelle finish.
The Prism Lounge Rocking Chair brings soothing motion and deep-seated comfort to patios, pool decks, and covered porches. This aluminum outdoor lounge chair, designed by Castelle and handcrafted in the United States, combines a fully upholstered frame with powder-coated construction that resists rust, corrosion, and fading in all weather conditions -- available at Sideboards and Things with free shipping. Its high back support and oversized cushions deliver the kind of relaxation you expect from premium outdoor lounge chairs built for coastal and poolside use.
This rocking chair fits naturally on covered patios, beside fire pits, or poolside where you want a gentle rocking motion paired with deep cushioning. The low-maintenance aluminum construction means you can hose it down after a coastal storm and never worry about rust, making it a practical choice alongside other pieces in your outdoor furniture collection. Pair it with modern side tables or complement it with additional outdoor accent chairs for a cohesive seating arrangement that balances form and function.
Nice fabric-covered frame for relaxed spaces
This chair works well for a small balcony or sunroom since the fully upholstered frame keeps the look soft and the cushions feel like true lounge seating. I appreciated that the fabric cover prevents any hot-to-touch aluminum when the chair has been in the sun. The gentle rocking makes it perfect for a calm spot to sip coffee.
Soft, lounge-style seating for evenings
I like the oversized cushions and the deep seat comfort; they make this a nice spot for evening reading on the deck. Because the frame is fully upholstered there's no hot metal against bare skin when it sits in the sun. The smooth rocking motion is subtle enough that it doesn't feel like a nursery rocker, more like a relaxed lounge chair.
Comfy but a bit heavy to move
Comfort is top-notch thanks to the deep seat and supportive high back, but it is on the heavier side so rearranging furniture on a patio takes two people. Assembly required a mild bit of effort, nothing major, but worth noting if you're setting it up solo. Still, the sled-base rocking is very pleasant once it's in place.
A little different in person Castelle Prism
It is a decent piece, though the tone and finish looked slightly different from the listing image. We also expected something a little softer or lighter in feel, so it took some adjustment.
Great for taller users
The high back support is noticeable and the 37-inch height with 26.75-inch arms really helps prevent back strain for someone close to 6'2". It feels like real lounge-style seating rather than perched outdoor chairs, so it's ideal for long chats on the back porch. The deep seat comfort makes it easy to sit for hours.
