Why Choose a Machine-Woven Rug from Sideboards and Things?
The 80-percent polypropylene base resists everyday stains--tracked-in dirt, pet accidents, spilled drinks--while the 20-percent polyester adds textural sheen and dimensional depth across the medallion pattern. Medium pile height balances soft underfoot comfort with straightforward vacuuming in households where the floor sees constant traffic. The Croy fits naturally among LOOMLAN rugs and coordinates with the range of furniture that anchors contemporary living rooms, from low-profile sofas to reclaimed-wood console tables.
Turkish power-loom shrinkage creates raised pile variation that gives the medallion motif visual interest without the fragility of hand-knotted construction. Position the 8' x 10' with front furniture legs on the rug in rooms measuring 12' x 15' or larger, or use the 9' x 12' in open layouts where the rug extends eighteen inches beyond your seating group on all sides. The 5' x 7' anchors smaller conversation areas or defines zones within multi-use spaces, working alongside pieces from Addison rugs and complementing the natural textures found in Rhody Rug collections.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between a sideboard, a credenza and a buffet?
- A sideboard is a low storage cabinet with doors or drawers designed for dining room use, a credenza typically has sliding doors and no legs, and a buffet often includes open shelving alongside closed storage--all three provide similar surface and storage functions.
- How do I care for this rug in a high-traffic living room?
- Spot-clean spills immediately with a damp cloth and vacuum weekly; annual professional cleaning maintains the polypropylene-polyester blend's appearance over time.
- Which size works under a standard sofa and coffee table?
- The 8' x 10' fits under typical sofas and coffee tables with front furniture legs resting on the rug, while the 9' x 12' accommodates larger seating groups where all furniture sits on the rug perimeter.
- Does this rug arrive assembled or require any setup?
- No assembly is required--the rug ships ready to unroll and place, with free curbside delivery to the continental USA.
- How long until the rug ships?
- This rug ships within 48-72 hours of order placement.
- Can I return the rug if the size or color doesn't work in my space?
- Standard return terms apply to all listed sizes; review the full policy at the returns page or contact customer service with sizing questions before ordering.
