When you need dependable outdoor seating that stores away easily, a folding side chair in solid teak delivers durability, comfort, and classic garden style. The Devon Teak Folding Side Chair, crafted from sustainably harvested teak wood, is available at Sideboards and Things with free shipping. This weather-resistant design folds flat for off-season storage, features contoured slats for comfortable sitting, and arrives ready to use--no assembly required.
Solid teak is prized for outdoor furniture because it resists rain, sun, wind, and insects season after season, making it ideal for patios, gardens, and poolside setups. The Devon chair's folding design means you can store it flat in a shed or garage when the weather turns, then pop it open again for extra guests or casual lounging. Pair it with other pieces from our outdoor accent chairs or browse our full outdoor collection to complete your alfresco space.
The hand-sanded finish starts as a warm golden tone and gradually mellows to silvery grey--a natural weathering process that adds character without compromising strength. Because teak is dense and oil-rich, it stands up to UV exposure and moisture far better than many hardwoods, so you can leave this chair outside year-round in most climates. Its contoured slats support your back and legs comfortably, making it a practical choice for both dining and casual seating zones.
Good height for casual dining
The 17.5" seat height works well for casual outdoor dining and makes getting in and out easy. The FSC-certified grade-A teak and contoured slat seating are comfortable without cushions, and the finish will naturally weather outdoors.
Works well on the deck
Contoured slat seating is comfy without cushions, and the fold-flat storage design is handy for winter storage in a shed. It's engineered for both residential and commercial use, so it feels robust for family dinners on the deck.
Good for a small cafe patio
Commercial spots will appreciate the 250-pound weight capacity and the fold-flat storage design for compact storage when space is tight. The hand-sanded natural finish starts golden and will weather to a silvery grey over time.
Sturdy but a little heavy
The FSC-certified grade-A teak is solid and the chair feels built for frequent outdoor use, but it can be a bit heavy to move around if you rearrange seating often. Also, the hand-sanded natural finish can show slight variation between pieces, so expect some character.
Comfortable balcony seating
Great for a narrow balcony; the contoured slat seating gives solid support without needing cushions. The FSC-certified grade-A teak feels sturdy and should take the weather well.
