A console table is a narrow, space-efficient surface designed to sit against a wall in entryways, hallways, or behind sofas, offering both display and functional storage. The Noir Fraser Console delivers precisely that utility with its industrial steel construction and clean geometric profile. This console table in matte black is available at Sideboards and Things with free shipping, bringing 48 inches of display surface to your living space or foyer.
Industrial steel construction means this console can handle everyday use without wobbling or wearing down -- the matte black finish resists scratches and wipes clean in seconds. At 15 inches deep and 30 inches tall, it fits snugly in narrow hallways or behind sofas without blocking traffic flow, while the rectangular top offers enough room for lamps, trays, and decor. Pair it with our selection of console tables or complement it with pieces from our coffee tables to unify your living room layout. The 27-inch clearance underneath also lets you tuck baskets or bins out of sight, keeping essentials organized.
This steel console anchors entryways by catching keys and mail the moment you walk in, and its narrow depth leaves plenty of clearance in tight foyers. In living rooms, slide it behind a sofa to create a display ledge for books and lighting without sacrificing square footage. The geometric lines and matte black finish also pair naturally with bar height tables in open-concept spaces, or alongside dining table sets where you need a serving or staging surface. Because it weighs 100 pounds, it stays planted once positioned -- no shifting or tipping when you lean against it.
Stable option for TV or books
I can see this working as a TV console alternative because the industrial construction gives it a low center of gravity and real stability. The powder-coated matte black finish hides smudges, and the geometric sled base prevents wobble. Practical choice for a family room or den.
Very sturdy but a bit heavy Fraser Steel Black Console Table 2
The commercial-grade 100-pound build makes the console impressively stable, but it can be awkward to move because of that weight. The geometric sled base keeps it steady on hardwood, and the matte black finish resists fingerprints. Plan for two people if you need to reposition it.
Heavy-duty industrial look
Industrial steel construction gives it a solid, no-bounce feel that works well behind a sofa in the living room. At 100 pounds the weight explains the stability, and the matte black finish hides smudges better than a glossy surface. It feels like something that will hold up to everyday use.
Good fit for a home office Fraser Steel Black Console Table 2
This would be a solid option for a home office as a narrow desk or display table thanks to the industrial steel frame. The powder-coated black finish resists water marks and daily wear. The clean-lined sled base keeps visual weight low while holding a lamp and supplies.
A little different in person Fraser Console
It is a decent piece, though the tone and finish looked slightly different from the listing image. We also expected something a little softer or lighter in feel, so it took some adjustment.
