The Gideon Wood & Shagreen Leather Green Sofa Table delivers refined storage and display space with an uncommon material palette that transforms entryways and living rooms. A console table is a narrow, elevated surface designed to occupy slim zones behind sofas, along hallways, or against dining-room walls, offering both function and a focal point without crowding foot traffic. The Sarreid Gideon Wood & Shagreen Leather Green Sofa Table is available at Sideboards and Things with free shipping. Wrapped in watercress-green shagreen leather with hand-applied gold leather trim and a gold-finished frame, this 54-inch-wide console table brings texture, warmth, and a jewel-box aesthetic to modern and traditional interiors alike.
Behind a sofa or beneath a wall mirror, the slender 12-inch depth preserves circulation while the 34-inch height aligns with standard sofa backs for layered vignettes of lamps, books, and sculpture. The shagreen-leather cladding -- embossed to echo stingray hide -- introduces organic pattern that pairs beautifully with the plush upholstery in our sofas and loveseats collection and the mixed materials found across our console tables assortment. Gold accents catch ambient light and echo hardware on adjacent cabinetry or the metallic bases popular in our coffee tables range, unifying the room's palette.
Nice contemporary piece for dining area
Used as a side console in the dining room, the wood construction and shagreen leather surface feel durable for everyday serving and display. The slim profile keeps plates and trays within reach without crowding the walkway behind chairs. It blends with modern decor and stays stable during meals.
Fits nicely behind the sofa
We placed this behind the living room sofa and the shagreen leather top adds a subtle texture without being flashy. The wood frame feels sturdy and it stays put on our rug. It doesnt take up visual space and works well for holding lamps and a few books.
Perfect for a narrow entryway Gideon Shagreen Leather Green Sofa Table 2
The 12-inch depth makes it easy to tuck this console into our entry without blocking the path. The shagreen leather finish cleans up quickly after shoes and mail get set down. It feels contemporary without being overbearing in a small space.
Solid look but heavy to move
The wood frame and shagreen leather give it a solid, stable feel, but at about 90 pounds it's heavy to reposition on your own. Once it's in place it seems built for regular use in a busy hallway. Just plan for two people if you want to move it later.
