Looking for a console table that breaks the mold? The Thaviel Bicycle Parts Design Console Table turns reclaimed materials into functional art. This 53-inch console table -- a furniture piece designed for entryway, living room, or hallway placement, combining display and storage -- is available at Sideboards and Things with free shipping. Crafted from repurposed bicycle parts, cast iron, and glass, this piece delivers industrial-chic character while offering practical storage below the glass top.
Its slim 16-inch depth makes it ideal for tight entryways or behind a sofa, while the glass top showcases family photos, vases, or sculptural objects. Pair it with pieces from our coffee tables collection for a coordinated industrial look, or anchor your entryway alongside selections from our console tables lineup. The open bottom shelf tucks baskets or books without visual clutter. Because each table is handcrafted from reclaimed materials, expect natural variations in grain, texture, and tone -- no two are identical, and that's exactly what gives this piece its one-of-a-kind appeal.
Position it in your entryway to greet guests with instant conversation-starter charm, or tuck it behind a sectional as a room divider with display space. The industrial aesthetic pairs beautifully with exposed brick, leather seating, and other eclectic furnishings, while the glass top keeps sightlines open in smaller spaces. Explore our bar height tables and dining table sets to extend the repurposed-material theme across your home.
Nice boho accent for a small office
Works well as an accent or sofa table in a boho or eclectic office since the dual-level storage is handy for a lamp on the glass top and baskets below. Each piece being handcrafted from bicycle components means every unit has a bit of its own personality.
Industrial vibe for the living room
The repurposed bicycle parts and cast iron elements give a strong industrial-steampunk look that pairs nicely with leather and reclaimed wood. The glass top is useful for display while the lower shelf holds books and records.
Fits narrow hallways well Thaviel Bicycle Parts Design Console Table 2
Works well in narrow hallways the glass top and open shelf at 16 inches deep are a smart fit for keys, mail, and a couple of baskets. The galvanized finish and corrugated sheeting add industrial character without taking up floor space.
Good design but heavy to move
Nice story with the handcrafted repurposed bicycle parts and the galvanized finish, but it's noticeably heavy to move around because of the cast iron. Assembly was manageable, though it took some effort to position it where intended.
