The Harness Round Coffee Table from Sarreid brings together raw materials and refined detail in a design built for everyday living. A coffee table--the central low table in a living room that anchors seating and provides surface space for drinks, books, and display--serves as both a functional anchor and a style statement. This round table pairs a smoke glass top with antiqued brown leather and an iron stand, mixing texture and tone in a way that works across traditional and updated interiors. It's available at Sideboards and Things with free shipping, ready to ground your space with craftsmanship you can see and feel.
At 40 inches across, this round table offers generous surface area without sharp corners, making it easy to navigate around seating and ideal for conversation groupings. The 19-inch height sits at standard coffee table level, comfortable for reaching from a sofa or chair. The smoke glass top provides a sleek display surface, while the leather-wrapped iron base adds visual weight and a handcrafted quality that pairs well with wood, metal, and upholstered pieces. Sarreid builds this table with an iron stand wrapped in antiqued brown leather, a combination that adds texture and durability to the base. The smoke glass top offers a tinted, semi-transparent surface that softens reflections and works with a range of color palettes. Brass handles on the leather add a touch of metal detail and provide a grip for adjusting placement. The mix of glass, leather, iron, and brass brings together industrial and organic elements in a single piece. This approach to material layering is a hallmark of well-made console tables and accent furniture, where each component contributes to both structure and style.
Traditional center for a formal den
Brass handles and buckle details give a warm metallic touch that pairs well with wood tones in a formal den or living room. The tempered smoke glass top also resists scratches and heat, so it feels practical for entertaining guests.
Arrives assembled but weighs a lot
Arrives fully assembled so there's no need for tools or instructions, which is convenient for quick setup. That said, it's heavier than expected to move around the iron base with leather detailing contributes to the weight.
Leather straps add character
Antiqued leather harness strapping brings a hands-on look and should develop a nice patina over time in a family room or study. The tempered smoke glass top looks less smudgy than clear glass, which is handy around kids and pets.
Good quality, slow arrival Harness Round
The piece itself is fine and works in the room, but it took longer to arrive than I expected. The color also reads a little different in our lighting than it did on the computer screen.
