The Marksman Sideboard in Antique Muted Grey delivers weathered French grey character and generous storage capacity for dining rooms and kitchens that need both function and vintage appeal. A sideboard is a low cabinet designed for serving and storage, traditionally placed in dining areas to hold dishes, linens, and serveware while providing a surface for presentation. This solid pine piece is available at Sideboards and Things with free shipping, combining durable wood construction with rustic plank-style detailing across three full doors.
This eight-foot sideboard provides serious storage for large dining rooms or open kitchens where you need space for serveware, linens, and everyday essentials behind closed doors. The adjustable shelving adapts to plates of varying heights, serving bowls, and table linens, while the weathered grey finish suits farmhouse and transitional interiors without demanding formal decor. Solid pine offers genuine wood grain and natural character that engineered materials cannot replicate, especially with a multi-step distressed finish that highlights the wood's texture. The three removable shelves let you reconfigure interior space as your storage needs change, and the plank-style doors add visual interest without sacrificing clean lines. Pair this sideboard with pieces from our antique chandeliers collection to complete a vintage-inspired dining room, or use it in an entryway for coats and seasonal items when your space allows the width.
Good piece with one caveat
Solid pine construction and the plank door fronts give it character, but the size and solid wood mean it could be heavy to move once it's in place. The storage layout with adjustable shelves is very practical, so just plan placement ahead of time.
Solid pine feels durable
Solid Pine Wood and the visible wood grain through the finish suggest it should hold up better than veneer pieces. It's also nice that it arrives fully assembled, so you don't have to deal with a long build.
Perfect for family gatherings
Plenty of surface space for serving stations during holidays, and the solid pine construction feels sturdy when trays are loaded. The adjustable shelves are a smart touch for storing tall serving platters or shorter bowls depending on the event.
Fine piece, different expectation Marksman Sideboard
The item is well made overall, but the finish has more natural variation than I expected from the online photos. It also felt a bit heavier than planned for, so we had to rethink where it would go.
Surface space is very useful
The wide top is ideal for a large coffee station or display in a family room, and the three adjustable shelves mean both short barware and tall bottles have a place. Solid Pine Wood with plank-style fronts gives it a relaxed, lived-in look that fits casual rooms.
