Why Choose a Hand-Woven Platform Bed from Sideboards and Things?
A platform bed features a raised, flat surface that supports your mattress directly on built-in slats or a solid base, eliminating the need for a separate box spring or foundation. The Lisbon's clean modern lines pair the relaxed appeal of natural rush with a sophisticated, contemporary silhouette, making it ideal for modern, minimalist, and coastal interiors. At 230 pounds, this bed offers a stable, grounded presence and long-lasting durability, with sturdy integrated slats providing reliable mattress support. Layer linen or cotton bedding in neutral tones to complement the organic texture, and anchor the space with a jute rug or natural wood nightstand -- pair it with woven accents from our bed frames collection to reinforce the room's earthy, relaxed aesthetic.
Styling Your Natural Rush Bedroom
The Lisbon's hand-woven rush construction brings warmth and texture that complements a wide range of bedroom styles. Pair it with bedding in soft neutrals or muted earth tones to let the natural material take center stage, and add black metal lighting or matte-finish hardware for contrast. A natural wood dresser or rattan side table from our queen bed frames collection maintains the organic palette, while woven baskets or sisal rugs complete the coastal or farmhouse look. Keep the room's tones soft and the lines clean to honor the bed's minimalist geometry and artisan craftsmanship.
