This extendable dining table transforms from a 60-inch round to a 77.5-inch oval configuration, offering flexible seating for gatherings of any size. The Essentials For Living 60-77" Round to Oval Extendable Dining Table Solid Wood is a transitional dining table available at Sideboards and Things with free shipping. A dining table anchors the room where families gather and meals are shared, and this piece delivers both adaptability and the authentic character of sandblasted solid wood. The single pedestal base provides legroom while the included extension leaf stores within easy reach, making this table a practical centerpiece for homes that entertain frequently or need versatile seating options.
The round profile works well in square dining rooms or breakfast nooks, while the oval extension accommodates guests without monopolizing floor space when you're not hosting. The natural gray acacia finish shows the wood's authentic grain with visible knots, cracks, and texture variations that make each table distinct. Pair this table with upholstered chairs from our dining table sets for a cohesive look, or position it near a coffee table in an open floor plan to define zones while maintaining sightlines. The pedestal base gives diners seated around the perimeter clear leg space, and the sandblasted veneer surface stands up to daily use while highlighting the organic beauty of solid acacia.
Install this table in a dining room that measures at least 10 by 10 feet to allow comfortable chair movement when the table is in its compact round form, or ensure 12 by 10 feet when extended to oval. The 30-inch standard height pairs with conventional dining chairs that have seat heights of 18 to 19 inches. Because the table expands with a single removable leaf, you can store the extension nearby and deploy it in seconds when company arrives, then return to the space-efficient round footprint for everyday meals. Consider centering the table under a chandelier or pendant fixture that hangs 30 to 36 inches above the surface for balanced lighting across the entire top, and browse our dining tables collection if you need coordinating pieces for adjacent spaces.
Useful for crafts and family projects
The large top with acacia veneer and sturdy pedestal feels like it would handle craft projects or homework spreads in a family room. The mix of solid acacia wood, veneer, MDF, and plywood underpinnings keeps the price sensible while maintaining a warm, natural gray finish.
Smooth glide makes hosting easy
The metal extension glide really does make adding the leaf straightforward, so setting up for guests is quick. The single pedestal base also removes corner leg obstructions, which helps when arranging extra chairs around the table.
Perfect 60-inch round for cozier spaces
The 60-inch round profile makes it a practical choice for a smaller breakfast nook while still feeling sturdy thanks to the solid acacia wood pedestal. The sandblasted acacia veneer top gives the surface some real character with visible grain and knots.
Good quality, slow arrival Round Oval
The piece itself is fine and works in the room, but it took longer to arrive than I expected. The color also reads a little different in our lighting than it did on the computer screen.
Nice finish but a bit heavy to move 60-77" Round to Oval Extendable Solid Wood Dining Table 2
The hand-finished natural gray acacia veneer looks great and the metal extension glide works smoothly, though the solid acacia pedestal makes the piece a bit heavy to shift around. Assembly or repositioning may need two people, but overall the construction feels solid.
