Why Choose This Bench for Your Home?
The 24-inch width makes this piece ideal for tucking under a console or positioning at the foot of a bed when you need flexible seating that doesn't dominate the floor plan. The hand-woven rush seat offers comfort without cushions, while the double stretchers ensure the frame stays rigid under daily use. Pair it with pieces from our bedroom furniture collection or use it as a landing spot in an entryway alongside storage from our all furniture range. The solid mahogany construction and brown finish coordinate with traditional and transitional interiors, and the 250-pound capacity handles real-world demands.
How Does the Rush Seat Hold Up Over Time?
Hand-woven rush is a natural fiber material that develops character with use and stands up to regular seating when properly maintained. The double stretchers on all sides distribute weight evenly across the mahogany frame, preventing racking and keeping the rush seat taut. At 15 pounds, the bench is light enough to move easily but heavy enough to feel stable underfoot.
